Mechanical Design & Fabrication
I have installed, maintained, and used a small Computer Numerical Control(CNC) Milling machine. I employ this extensively in both my science and my art. I also own a 3D printer, which I also make extensive use of. Both tools require a strong knowledge of a 3D-CAD software. I’ve been an avid user of SolidWorks for a number of years. I recently transitioned to OnShape.
While it is often cost effective to outsource fabrication work, when a project is nearing deadlines, the ability to make a needed fixture in a couple of hours that would require a week (and half a dozen emails) to contract out is extremely handy. Below is a gallery of some of my work.
I am experienced in:
IronCAD, Solidworks, OnShape
Mechanical Drawing
CNC Milling, 3D Printing, interfacing with outside Fabrication Facilities for laser cutting.
